What data we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we store your email address, username, and display name. If you sign in via GitHub, we also receive your public profile information (name, avatar) from GitHub.

Content you create

Projects, comments, and likes you submit are stored in our database. Projects include the name, description, URL, tags, and any images you provide.

Analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Plausible is a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors. All data is aggregated and anonymous. For more details, see the Plausible Data Policy.

How we use your data

• To provide and maintain the SaaSBoard platform.
• To display your public profile and projects to other users.
• To send transactional emails (e.g. email confirmation, password reset). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
• To understand overall usage trends via anonymous, aggregated analytics (Plausible).

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (privacy policy).
• Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookie-free web analytics (data policy).
• GitHub OAuth — optional sign-in method. We only receive your public profile information.

Cookies

SaaSBoard uses only essential, strictly necessary cookies for authentication (session management). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. Plausible Analytics does not set any cookies.

Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
